Terms & Conditions

1. Who we are

Litlevel (the "App", "we", "us") provides an adaptive reading & learning platform (user profiles, reading progress tracking, quizzes, content suggestions and social features). These Terms govern your access to and use of the App.

2. Acceptance

By using the App you accept these Terms. If you don't agree, do not use the App. You must be 13+ to create an account; if required by law where you live, the minimum age may be higher and you must have parental consent where applicable.

3. Accounts, registration & access

You're responsible for your account, keeping credentials secure, and for all activity under your account. Notify us immediately of any unauthorised use.

4. Service & availability

We provide the App "as is", and may update, suspend or discontinue features at any time. We aim to keep things running but do not promise uninterrupted service.

5. User content

When you submit content (notes, quiz answers, comments), you grant Litlevel a non-exclusive, worldwide, royalty-free licence to store, use, display and operate that content to provide the service. You retain ownership of your content. Don't upload copyrighted or illegal material — if we reasonably believe content violates these Terms, we can remove it.

6. Acceptable use

No abusive, illegal, pornographic, hateful, or harassing material. No attempts to reverse-engineer, mass-scrape, exploit or otherwise interfere with the App. Repeated bad behaviour may lead to suspension or account termination.

7. AI-Generated Content

The App uses artificial intelligence to generate personalized quizzes, comprehension checks, and reading recommendations. By using the App you acknowledge that:

• AI-generated content is provided for educational purposes and may contain errors or inaccuracies
• You must not attempt to manipulate, abuse, or exploit AI features to generate inappropriate content
• We reserve the right to monitor AI interactions and suspend accounts that misuse these features
• AI models may be updated or changed at our discretion to improve the service

8. Intellectual property

The App UI, branding, source material, and proprietary algorithms are owned by Litlevel (or its licensors). You may not copy, redistribute, or create derivative products without written permission.

9. Free vs paid features

The App may offer paid subscriptions. Subscription terms (billing, renewals, cancellations, refunds) are shown at purchase and will prevail. You authorise us to charge your chosen payment method for subscription renewals until you cancel.

10. Disclaimers & liability

We aim for accurate, helpful guidance (reading suggestions, quiz feedback), but content is educational and offered without warranty. We exclude liability to the fullest extent permitted by law. Our aggregate liability for any claim shall not exceed the amount you paid in the last 12 months.

11. Indemnity

You agree to indemnify Litlevel from claims arising from your breach of these Terms or your misuse of the App.

12. Data & privacy

We process personal data as described in our Privacy Policy. You agree we may store and analyze your reading progress, quiz responses and user content to provide and improve the service.

13. Termination

Either party may terminate access. On termination we may delete or anonymise your data after any retention period described in the Privacy Policy.

14. Governing law & disputes

These Terms are governed by the laws of England & Wales (if you are located elsewhere, local consumer protection rules may still apply). Any disputes will be resolved in the courts of England & Wales unless otherwise required by law.

15. Changes to these Terms

We may update these Terms. For material changes we'll provide prominent notice. Continued use after notice means you accept the changes.
